We started our training initiative focusing exclusively on the UK market but when training budgets were cut in the Recession, we extended our offer internationally. [We’re working in Toronto in early April and should be back in Switzerland in May.] Canada will be our 28th international market – proof that a “Love of selling makes the world go round!”
Never be afraid of silence. Knowing when to shut up is a powerful skill for any presenter. Your audience needs a chance to catch up and reflect on what you’re saying and to see if your message is for them. They must feel you are talking to them and unless you shut up sometimes they will switch off.
